GMC G20 Teil unter den Lenksäule??? Was ist das was macht es

Moin,

kann mir jemand sagen was dieses Teil unter der Lenksäule macht.
Es ist mit einem Bowdenzug am Zündschloss irgendwie verbunden und es bewegt einen Draht in einem Zylinder, je nach Stellung des Zündschlüssels.

2 Kabel gehen dran, und bekommen Strom, wenn die Zündung an ist.
Wagen startet und fäht, mit und ohne Kabel dran.



Was tut es also und wozu?

Könnte die Verriegelung des Schalthebels sein. Die den Hebel ohne Zündung in Position P blockiert.

Part number 91 on the diagram is the shift interlock solenoid. On these G-vans, there is a sliding cable on the ignition actuator rod that acts as a shift interlock (prevents shifting out of park if the brake pedal is not depressed).



The shift interlock system on this design is the most common failure we see. The cable slides back and forth in the cast metal tip of the ignition actuator rod. This cast metal tip is very fragile and easy to break. We do have these original style tips available.



We have also designed a replacement tip to fix this issue. This tip removes the shift interlock system, allowing us to have the tip made out of a solid piece of steel. This new design works like the older GM cars and trucks before the brake shift interlock mechanism was introduced. The key still needs to be on to move the shift lever out of park, but you no longer need to step on the brake pedal to release the shifter.
